Having a breathing technique that you use can come in useful to calm yourself down if your feeling stressed or anxious, it only takes a few minutes and can be done anywhere.

This is one of my favs:

Let your breath flow down as deep into your tummy as is comfortable. Breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Count steadily to 5 on your in breath, then without pausing or holding your breath, let the breath flow out gently for the count of 5. Do this over again for a few minutes



I know when I had all these thoughts and feelings, I painted on a big smile and hid how I was feeling inside. People I met during this time still can’t believe that that was how I was feeling as I hid it so well, yet inside I was filled with worry and dread and was on constant high alert.

Knowing what I know now, I was firmly in my emotional primitive mind in a cycle of negative thinking. Knowing you can break this cycle is empowering and it’s this that I do with my clients now.


Knowledge really is power.
